How backups are handled

There is a daily offsite backup that gets sent to tarsnap.

There is an hourly offsite backup which uses attic
Drive snapshots
Gandi provides automated snapshots of the disk itself which can be restored or read. The automatic profile is called the "security profile"
Restore
A backup of your repository can be restored, for free, by creating a ticket. Excessive requests for backup restores, or needing to restore other data such as wikis or downloads will be charged a small fee. This is because restoring that data is much more difficult than restoring just a repository.
Of course to prevent abuse you can only request the restore for a repository that you are the owner of.
